digital painting i did a while ago and had on my old account, its still somewhat decent. I'm terrible at perspective and light source. Title was inspired by the song "The Ocean Breaths Salty" by ModestMouse
Also for the record, merman is a boy.

The perspective seems clear enough to me, although maybe there's something about his lighting that makes him look a little "off". I can't quite say what though.
Aside from that, I like it! The entire background, actually, is very well done indeed. The sand and puddles look fittingly damp, there's a genuine life about those waves, and the way the rocks are shaded and coloured give the surroundings perspective, have no fear.
